Emily Chew
Executive Vice President and Chief Responsible Investment Officer, Calvert Research and Management

Emily Chew is Executive Vice President and Chief Responsible Investment Officer, Calvert Research and Management. Ms. Chew is responsible for managing and monitoring financial and ESG performance analytics and insights across Calvert’s global product offering, managing Calvert’s relationships with investment teams that are deployed to manage Calvert’s funds, and engaging Calvert's clients on long-term ESG investment themes. She is a member of the Morgan Stanley Diversity Council, and previously served as Morgan Stanley’s Global Head of Sustainability for Investment Management. Before joining Morgan Stanley in 2020, Ms. Chew was Global Head of ESG Research and Integration for Manulife Investment Management in Hong Kong and Boston, where she built an ESG investing program for public markets investments encompassing research, investee stewardship, thought leadership and thematic product development. Previously, she was Head of Asia-Pacific ESG Research for MSCI Inc. Ms. Chew is a member of the CFA Institute ESG Technical Committee, which launched a new global ESG disclosure standard for investment funds in late 2021, and is a founding member of the Bloomberg Women’s Buyside Network – New York Chapter. She has also formerly served as rotating chair of the Steering Committee of the Climate Action 100+ investor engagement initiative and chair of the Asian Investor Group on Climate Change. Ms. Chew holds an MBA from the University of Oxford, and Bachelors of Laws and Arts (honors) from the University of Melbourne.

Tarek Soliman
CFA, Executive Director, Calvert Research and Management

Tarek is an executive director for Calvert Research and Management. He is an analyst responsible for environmental, social and governance (ESG) research coverage of the energy and metals & mining sectors. He joined Calvert Research and Management in 2022.

Tarek began his career in the financial services industry in 2007. Before joining Calvert Research and Management, he was a sell-side analyst covering energy equities and climate change strategy at HSBC. Previously, he worked at an environmental NGO and started his career in structured lending to energy & natural resources projects in London and Dubai.

Tarek earned a BSc in economics from the University of Warwick and an MSc in the economics and policy of energy and the environment from University College London. He is a CFA charter holder.

Jonathan Pragel
Executive Director, Calvert Research and Management

Jonathan is an executive director for Calvert Research and Management. He is responsible for the power, utilities and clean energy sectors. He joined Calvert Research and Management in 2022.

Jonathan began his career in the investment management industry in 2008. Before joining Calvert Research and Management, Jonathan was a lead analyst at investment managers Citadel and Nuveen Investments. Previously, he was a member of the utilities & power team at Wolfe Research and started his career at RBC Capital Markets.

Jonathan earned a B.B.A. in finance from Emory University and completed the one-year Financing and Deploying Clean Energy program at Yale University.
