Dave Whitmore is a Senior Strategist of Trader Education with E*TRADE Securities LLC. Dave has been teaching investments and trading for more than twenty years. He has worked with thousands of investors, at events and online, and taught a wide range of topics, including technical analysis, stock fundamentals, stock selection, risk management, options, and exchange-traded funds. Dave holds an MBA from New York University and a BA in business economics from the University of California at Santa Barbara. He lives in New Jersey with his wife and two children where he enjoys high school sports, competitive dance, golf, skiing, Jeopardy, jazz, and amateur ornithology. 

Rick Swope
Senior Strategist, Investor Education, E*TRADE Securities LLC

Rick Swope is a Senior Strategist of Investor Education with E*TRADE Securities LLC. As a veteran in the industry, Rick has presented at hundreds of seminars across the U.S. and around the world. His expertise covers technical analysis, market strategy, and risk management. He has extensive media experience, including a regional PBS weekly show, a national PBS pledge program, and numerous radio and television appearances. He is the principal author of the Amazon best seller, Five Points for Trading Success (Wiley, 2007) and co-author of Trading By Numbers (Wiley, 2012). Rick’s teaching includes corporate training as well as six years as an adjunct engineering instructor. He studied in the disciplines of engineering, mathematics, operations research, and statistics. He is married with two children and resides in Atlanta, GA.

Michael Cannizzaro, CRPC®, CRPS®, RICP® is a Senior Strategist of Investor Education with E*TRADE Securities LLC. Mike brings over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry with a concentrated focus on retirement planning, investing and savings. Mike conducts educational seminars for E*TRADE clients through monthly web-based presentations online, as well as at live regional events. His qualifications and perspective have been shaped by his previous work experiences as a Financial Advisor and in training and education roles. Mike holds licenses including: FINRA Series 24, 7, and 66.

Shawn Howell
Senior Strategist, Investor Education, E*TRADE Securities LLC

Shawn joins the E*TRADE education team after two decades as a trader, author, educator, and executive for some of the financial industry's leading brokerage and training firms, including Charles Schwab, Investools, and Thinkorswim Group. In 2009 Shawn co-founded Pro Market Advisors, E*TRADE's education partner for many years. In 2012 Shawn co-authored Trading by Numbers: Scoring Strategies for Every Market (Wiley). Shawn holds the FINRA Series 7 license.

Kevin P. Davitt
Senior Instructor, Cboe Global Markets, The Options Institute

Kevin Davitt is a Senior Instructor at Cboe Global Markets in The Options Institute, which is the educational arm of the exchange.  

Kevin joined Cboe in 2015. Prior to his work with The Options Institute, he was a successful Market Maker on the floor of the Cboe and PHLX for LETCO Trading/TD Options as well as Market Street Securities.

Davitt traded a variety of equity, ETF, and index options between 1999 and 2007. He also has extensive experience in commodity futures and option trading. Kevin has worked with retail and institutional clientele in a brokerage capacity.

Davitt has provided commentary for Bloomberg, Reuters, Fidelity, Barchart, Inside Futures, Options Insider Radio, and various other market-based media. He is a graduate of Marquette University with a degree in finance and political science. Kevin is a proud Evans Scholar Alum. Outside of work he enjoys time with his wife, young son, and dog. Kevin likes to read, run, and see live music.
